The homeowners did most of the heavy lifting when it came to this adorable girl’s nursery, so we can’t take much credit. We did come in with a few accessories to add the icing on the cake and I think we’re all in love with how it turned out.
This room doesn’t get a whole lot of natural light and was painted a soft robin’s egg blue before, so we swapped it out for a bright white paint color and once again, it created the perfect backdrop for everything else.
When we got started, the homeowners already had the furniture, that amazing textured rug, and had hung that super sweet canopy in the corner. All we did was add the gorgeous wood mirror (stole it from another room), some fun pom-pom curtains on a sleek brass rod, a coral pouf, and a few additional accessories.
This little gal loves to read, so she has a couple of spots in her room to settle in with a good book. The comfy gray chair was already the perfect place for bedtime stories, so we just added a brass floor lamp for additional task lighting. And that little clock was a bit of a splurge (from Etsy) but one of my favorite pieces and is great for mom and dad to glance at when inevitably they are asked to “read it again!” :)
I think the most charming part of this space is definitely the canopy tent in the corner. Anyone else wish they had this setup as a kid?! The homeowners already had it made up with fluffy pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals, so we just added some magical fairy lights inside and a sweet little felt ball garland up top.
We gathered up a lot of the same artwork that was already in the space and re-created a fun gallery wall over the changing table. I love the mix of old and new and all of the texture the different frames and art bring in.
Here’s a little glimpse of what it looked like before. As you can see, we didn’t change much! Paint can make such a difference.
