This particular project was so fun because we got to see this screened in porch addition come to life from the ground up! The space started as a deck, but the homeowners hired a contractor to transition it into a screened porch. Here in Raleigh, we get more than our fair share of sweltering summer days and pesky mosquitoes, so a screened in porch is a pretty solid investment!

Their contractor did an amazing job finishing off the space and created the perfect blank canvas for us to come in an add furnishings and decor. The space needed to be multi-purpose: a space for entertaining, lounging, and outdoor dining, in addition to being dog and kid-friendly.
Our clients love to travel, so I wanted the design to feel modern with a twist of tropical. We re-purposed their existing four-top dining set and brought in a new sectional to complement it. The greige cushions will hold up well to the elements and contrast well against the white finishes. Pops of emerald green and pinks are playful and a nod to that tropical inspiration.
I love this accent chair - it swivels so you can be a part of different conversations and it adds a little bit of height and drama to the space! It’s actually really comfy too; the homeowners toddler loves sitting in it and its just the cutest thing. :)
I especially love how this faux boxwood wall installation turned out. We layered a neon light on top to add some whimsy but also a teeny bit of light to this dark corner. I can just imagine hanging out at that dining table with a cocktail and that cheerful saying in the background! Literally perfect for happy hour!
